Norwegian progsters White Willow's legendary prog-folk debut "Ignis Fatuus" from 1995is finally released on vinyl. Featuring remastered sound and a 13 minute bonus track, this is the ultimate edition of a seminal Scandinavian album. The CD has been out of print for years and is already a collectors' item. Now you can own it as a double album on vinyl (180 g), sumptuously packaged in a gatefold sleeve with artwork by design team Trine&Kim and including a lyrics insert.
"Ignis Fatuus" is a mellotron-drenched journey through meadows and forests, featuring a cast of thousands and instruments like sitars, krumhorns, bagpipes and pennywhistles in addition to an arsenal of analogue synths and ethereal female voices. Think early King Crimson meets Dead Can Dance meets The Trees and you're halfway there. The album has been praised by such diverse musicians as Lee Dorrian (Cathedral, Napalm Death), Mikael Åkerfeldt (Opeth), Greg Weeks (Espers, Marissa Nadler) and Fabio Zuffanti (Höstsonaten, Maschera di Cera).
Nel frattempo Jacob Holm-Lupo ci fa sapere che il nuovo album dei White Willow, dal titolo Terminal Twilight, è in fase di completamento e non passerà molto tempo da qui alla sua uscita.
